About

Ordained Minister. Finish Carpenter.
Warrior Husband. Intentional Dad.

My name is Jesse and I’ve discovered that great families aren’t just made, they’re built.

I’ve been married to my college sweetheart, Becca, for sixteen years. We have a son and a daughter who fill our house with love and laughter, dirty clothes and Legos, challenges and triumphs. If you asked me what I’m most proud of in my life it would be my marriage and family, hands down.

I started learning carpentry from my dad when I was a boy and I began working with him when I was fourteen. He taught me the right way to build things. Plumb, level, and square. As the years went by I kept working with him and would hear him tell people, “I’m a trim carpenter by trade.” I asked him why he said that and he said, “because trim carpenters do the finish work. Their workmanship is the first thing that people see and the last impression they take away.” That has stuck with me and taught me the value of taking the time to build things with precision, pride and persistence.

A family is a lot like the house they live in. Without care and attention a house will fall apart and crumble. Without care and attention your relationship with your wife and kids will fall apart as well. I believe that it is possible to build a strong family but it takes work and commitment on your part.

I’ve made a career as a carpenter, teacher, speaker, ordained minister and writer. But I’ve realized my calling┬áis to help men build marriages and families that withstand the pressures of the world and shine as a testimony to the world. Marriage, children and family are among God’s greatest gifts to us. I’d be honored to help you nurture yours.

God has placed a burden on my heart to help you not only become the best husband and dad you can, but to become the husband and dad God’s called you to be. I want to share what I’ve learned along the way and provide you with the kind of tools that will help you make an immediate impact in your marriage, family and home. I understand the confusion and discouragement when things don’t go the way you planned. I also understand that the work you put into your family relationships will bless you more than you could ever imagine.

I believe you can be the hero your family is looking for and I’d love to help you get there.

Thanks for stopping by.
